Florida is Full of Warm Winter Festival Fun
Escape the cold winter days and head to the Sunshine State for fun in the sun.
Florida offers a lot more for visitors than just theme parks and days at the beach (not that there’s anything wrong with those options!). The state’s warm winter weather provides lots of opportunities for outdoor festival fun. We’ve outlined just a few Florida festivals lined up for the upcoming months.
Florida State Fair – Visitors can enjoy midway rides, exhibits, the Cracker Country Living Museum, demonstrations, food vendors, and live entertainment at Florida’s annual State Fair. Held at the State Fairground in Tampa. February 7 – 18, 2019.
The DeLand Beer Festival – Visit historic downtown DeLand Florida for the DeLand Beer Festival on February 9, 2019. A ticket to this 21 and over event gets you access to unlimted samples from over 100 suppliers of beer, wind, cider, and other spirit. The event also features live music, craft beer presentations, and food & craft vendors. Held on East Indiana Avenue, February 9, 2019.
Florida Renaissance Festival – Enjoy some 16th Century-style fun at this Renaissance fest held at waterfront Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach February 9 – March 24, 2019.
Florida Strawberry Festival – This big 11-day fest features carnival rides, youth livestock shows, exhibits, and big name entertainment. Strawberry shortcake is a food favorite. The headline entertainment for 2019 includes Alabama, Willie Nelson & Friends, Kool & the Gang, Martina McBride, STYX, Keith Sweat, and Old Dominion. February 29 – March 10 in Plant City, Florida.
Mount Dora Arts Festival – This nationally-recognized arts festival features over 285 artists from around the world. When you’re ready to take a break from browsing the artists booth, there’s a festival food court, plus there are many nearby restaurants available downtown. February 2 & 3, 2019.
The Silver Spurs Rodeo – The Silver Spurs Rodeo is one of the largest rodeos east of the Mississippi and has been happening annually in Kissimmee, Florida for over 70 years. The rodeo features bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing. Held on the 3rd weekend in February. February 15 – 17, 2019.
